Horses need a lot of care in the winter months. Here are a few tips that will help your horse through the cold chill of winter.

1) If you lead a horse to water, make sure that water isn’t cold! Horses will not drink cold water. If they start to get dehydrated, they could become colicky. Be sure to add about a gallon or so of warm water to your horses’ drinking water to ensure they don’t go thirsty.

2) An easy way to keep horses warm is to pick up a horse blanket or two. We are fully stocked up on horse blankets. Come in and get yours today!

3) A great way to keep horses warm is to get a heat lamp and keep it near them.
