Fall Grass

Fall is an important transition time for our yards and pastures as we start preparing for the cold winter months ahead. One way to start winterizing your yard is planting annual cool season Fall Grass seeds.

Start planting your cool season grass seeds when the fall temperatures reach 75° and are dropping.  In Texas, temperatures may not drop until September or October. Keep an eye on your soil temperatures for the ideal time for grass seed planting. Don’t wait too long! Cool season grass seeds must be planted at least 60 days before the first freeze.
